3. Our weekend

Welcome !

It was a very good weekend, although we didn't do anything special.

On Friday, we were waiting for my man's biopsy results. Early, because before 10 am, we were already in the mall. We planned to visit a hairdresser to cut our son's hair. His hair is growing very fast and there is a lot them on his head.

We did a small cosmetic shopping, but first we we had English breakfast in the restaurant. 

We tried to take time and think about stupid things, so as not to stress so much. We visited a cafe, where our son behaved very rudely and we had to go outside with him to talk. Milosz is a high need child. My boys went to McDonald's and I went to one store for a moment. When I came back my K. ( his name is Krzysztof - in english Christopher ) already knew his biopsy results. Fortunately, no cancer was detected. A huge weight has fallen from our hearts. He must to go Poland again in April to remove the papilloma in his throat.

In the evening we ordered take-away. We had a glass of wine ( me one more ;)) and we played the game on xbox.

On Saturday I was in Aldi before noon, because later nothing can be bought there. Empty shelves. People go crazy and stock up on soap, paracetamol and packed food. At home I only have one liquid soap, two small antibacterial gels for hand ( I have had them for a long time ). I do weekly grocery shopping always. But I'm starting to be afraid that if it goes on this way, there will be huge shortages in the stores and I won't be able to buy anything when I need it. After returning home, I called my mom for a messanger. And the evening a friend called and we talked for a long time about various matter. 

On Sunday was International Women's Day and I got something sweet from my men. Dad and brother also remembered about a second woman in our family, about Nadia. 

I spent the morning in the bed at the computer with a cup of coffee. Later, I cleaned the house and cooked dinner. For dinner there was macaroni casserole with boiled chicken, brie cheese, chorizo and tomato sauce. In the afternoon a friend with his son visited us. The children were playing together and the adults could talk. 

It wasn't a weekend full of impressions, but it was free from worries.

2. January and February in the pictures

Hello Dear ! 

Today I would like to show you last two months captured by my phone. 

JANUARY

I welcomed the New Year with my friends. It was champagne fun.

I will also show you various items which I bought during these two months. In January there was a big sale, so I used them. My daughter likes reading books just like her mom. 

In January I started training with the well-known Polish fitness trainer - Ewa Chodakowska. I took photos of my fitbit after workout and put on my instastory. I will not show you all such photos, because it would be terribly boring. 

I bought my first living flower for home. I don't have a green thumb ! Everything always dries or rots. This is dracaena. Still alive, but begins to be brown at the tips of the leaves. 

Reading book is my hobby since I was a child. 

I spent some time with my daughter, because my little son and (non)husband were in Poland. We were in Starbucks and few times in the cinema on Jumanji, Spies in Disguise nad Cats. 

Another shopping haul from B&M, Matalan and Tk Maxx. 

In Poland we have tradition that the Christmas Tree is removed after 6th of January, that is after Festival of Three King. Some people hold the Christmas Tree until 2nd of February.

Two weeks after Christmas we received a Christmas Card from my sister, who lives in Poland. Well done ! ;)

I like sunrises and sunsets very much. This is an amazing view for me. 

I accompany my daughter to the school bus every morning from Monday to Friday, so in January I had opportunity to see such beautiful sunrises several times. 

Blocks of flats are recognizable point in this town, because there are almost none here.

I relaxed with colouring books for adults, which I bought a few years ago when I was pregnant with my son. 

In 2019 I subscribed to GlossyBox, but in this year I decided to cancel. I don't need so many make up cosmetics. There was a mistake and I received January GlossyBox. But there will be no more boxes. 

'' Lover of Great Bear '' was another book I read in January. 

My daughter is in high school.

These are her two pictures. She likes to draw very much. She also designs clothes. 

For several years I have been doing a project called ''denko'' ( empty products ). The point is use all cosmetics until the end. We don't stock up and buy new product before using the one we have at home. 

Maybe sometimes I will publish recipes on blog, because I like to experiment in the kitchen with new meals. 

God's fingernail. 

This year, in September, our son should go to Reception Class. Unfortunately, I applied too late and I don't know he will get to school of my choice, where his sister went for seven years. 

In Poland, we celebrate Grandma's Day and Grandpa's Day. It is always 21st and 22nd of January.

My children made laurels. I made hearts from scrapbooking paper. Milosz attached poems, stickers and pictures. He tried to sign himself. Nadia signed what card for grandma and what for grandpa. My children have one grandmother ( my mum ), one grandfather ( my dad ), one foster grandfather ( my mum's husband ) and one great grandmother ( my grandma ). They all live outside the UK. 

January morning. 

In the town, where we live, is the Leeds-Liverpool Canal. Ducks, geese and swans swim there. There are other water birds too. We feed them with grains, but they prefer bread. 

There was no traffic lights and it was dangerous to cross the road, especially with a small child. 

I am fascinated such old, abandoned buildings covered with wild ivy.

Workouts with Ewa Chodakowska was my everyday life throughout January. 

Milosz is a pigeon chaser. They don't have easy with him. He chases them, but also feeds a pretzel.

In Tk Maxx already in January you could buy Easter decorations. 

I'm just wondering what are these bunnies doing here ? Hmmm :) 

Car lover. Every time we are in a shopping center, we have to rent a Fun Buggies. 

I drink two glasses of coffee everyday, without sugar and with milk. One in the morning and one in the afternoon. 

FEBRUARY 

In February, I didn't take many photos, because we were worried about health condition of my (non)husband. 

I am a fan of electric music. I like techno, trance, etc. I would love to go to this festival to remember my youth :P

Big and Small. 

In Lidl they have small shopping trolley for children. Milo puts his shopping in them and later he runs with this trolley, as if the store was a racing track.

My K. had to fly to Poland to check immediately what what was wrong with him. He had to buy a large suitcase, because he had 32 kg of luggage. Milosz helped him pull the suitcase, of course it was empty. 

... when it was dark in the morning ... Now it is light and I don't see the sunrise. 

An idiot stopped the car in the middle of a pedestrian crossing. I don't know, I think I was supposed to fly over him ? 

Milo also likes to go to B&M store. 

Yellow clay mask. The face was really bright after this mask and small blemishes dried. 

Make-up is the armor of a woman. When you want to hide your worries from the world, it's good idea to apply make-up. 

I didn't eat anything for two weeks, because I was under a lot of stress, When K. came back from Poland, stress was lover and appetite was higher. 

My family. Only the older daughter is not here, because she prefers to be alone with herself :P

February shopping haul. 

My daughter chose the set for herself. This is from Primark. 

After work. The snow surprised us.

My birthday presents. On 24th February I was 34 years old. My Nadia made a picture especially for me. She painted a pink ocean, hills and sky. 

Every day, together with my son we build various constructions from Duplo blocks. 

Rice noodles with vegetables, chicken and Teriyaki sauce. 

The Good Soldier Svejk. My book  for February. 

N. was at school camp for 1.5 days at Waddow Hall. 

She left on Thursday and returned on Friday afternoon. 

M. had a vaccination for 3 years and 4 months. He had on DTaP/IPV ( diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough, polio ) and 2nd dose of MMR ( measles, mumps, rubella ). He was very brave and got the stickers as a reward, but he said, that he would not come there again. When we go to the mall, he will be able to choose a toy.
