7. March & April in my photos

Hi !

Yes, I know it's not chronological. First I should describe March and April in the pictures, not May and June. But somehow it was easier for me to go back to the less distant months.

March

Swans are so dignified.

March 8 was International Women's Day and I received a card from my dad.

March is associated with the beginning of the lockdown in Great Britain, so I managed to go to work several times, but since then I have been sitting at home because my workplace is still closed and it is not known when it will change.

Due to a coronavirus pandemic, I decided to review the food I had at home. I even made a list. Our pandemic purchases were no different from the ones we always do.

It was the month I was covering my face. It looks like we will have to do it in July.

Spring was coming to life.

There were some unhealthy snacks, but I also made homemade Polish potato dumplings.

I had a lot of free time, which I got used to weeding a small garden in front of the house. And behind the house I planted various vegetables in pots.

My guy doesn't like it when I put a knife in butter like this . But he upset me, so I decided to get revenge :D I remember now! He didn't leave me milk for my morning coffee :P

The purchases I made for about two weeks.

My beloved has been training in the gym for many years, so closing the gym was the worst thing for him. He had to manage somehow and exercise at home. As the proverb says, there is nothing difficult for those who want.

April

I try to make my son also like to read books like his mother and his sister.

My son likes to take part in everything I do. Watercress can be planted on a cotton pads.

I like to decorate the house for various occasions.

Planted vegetables. Now I have to wait for something to grow.

This year is a bad joke.

Do you know what a watercress is? Perfect for sandwiches or bread in an egg. I would recommend.

We dyed eggs in different colors. Such eggs are called Easter eggs and are put into the Easter basket.

Walk with my daughter.

It was Easter in April. I invite you to my Polish blog for more photos from this event. Świeconka is a Polish tradition. It's blessed food eaten at Sunday breakfast. Food is blessed on Holy Saturday at a church during a special mass. In the Easter basket there are dishes symbolizing important things in the Catholic church. We have bread, salt and pepper, sugar lamb, horseradish, a piece of sausage, Easter eggs, a piece of sweet cake.

Nature can delight.

The weather was quite nice, so I spent a lot of time with the book outside. I was able to read two books.

A bouquet from my son. Sow-thistles are his favorite flowers.

Sometimes I like to drink cold beer on a warm day.

I really like this floral composition.

As part of her school work, Nadia had to interview a family member about the coronavirus. She chose Miłosz. Teaching Miłosz to answer the questions was not an easy task.

I spent the whole day mainly with my little son who, because of a pandemic, couldn't go to nursery.

In this way my Krzysiek will go out to the town. Full face and head protection even. I know, I know coronavirus is not a laugh.

The town was so peaceful when the pubs were closed.

I made a small order in an online bookstore. I ordered something for myself, something for my son and something for my daughter. Everybody was happy.

I am a bookworm and I can't help it. I love reading.

Bye :-)

I invite you to comment and follow this blog. I will be very pleased.

6. Collagen - youth protein - SuperSelf Marine Collagen review

Collagen is a protein made of long amino acid chains. As much as 30% of all human protein is collagen. Type 1 collagen is responsible for the skin - for its firmness, elasticity and proper appearance. Type 3 collagen, which is also found in the skin, is responsible for faster wound healing.

Unfortunately, with age, the body produces less and less collagen, up to 1.5% per year. At the same time, it is constantly destroyed, so at some point more collagen is destroyed than it is produced. The first deficiencies of this protein can be seen after the age of 25, including because of the loss of skin firmness and elasticity, the first wrinkles, thinner hair, cellulite.

The daily dose of collagen should be 5000 mg.

Collagen deficiency manifests itself:
  • weakness
  • fatigue,
  • lack of energy
  • joint problem
  • problem with skin, nails and hair
Collagen can be obtained from fish, cattle, pigs and poultry. Marine collagen, most often obtained from fish skins, enjoys the greatest reputation and is type 1 collagen.
Fish collagen is highly bioavailable because it has a structure closest to human collagen. Its bioavailability is up to 1.5 times better than that of other proteins.

It is important to choose collagen in the form of hydrolyzate, which is better digested by our body. The best collagen is the one marked with the letter A. It is important that such collagen also contains vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, glucosamine. In addition, it is also important that such preparations are free from preservatives, artificial colors and flavors.

Collagen can be in powder or in capsules. Drinking collagen is absorbed directly in the digestive tract, has no taste and can be added to water or juices. In contrast, collagen in capsules is fast and convenient to use, because it is enough to swallow it and drink a lot of water.

Advantages of marine collagen:
  • contains a large amount of amino acids such as glycine and proline
  • its production is environmentally friendly
  • can be used by everyone, both older and younger (struggling with acne and skin blemishes)
  • good for menopausal women, athletes and the elderly
  • does not cause side effects
It took me some time to find collagen that would meet the following criteria:
  • above 1000 mg
  • hyaluronic acid and vitamin C in the composition,
  • good price and value for money
My health supplement costs about £20 and is enough for me for a month, because there are 120 capsules in the package, but you should take it 4 times a day.

SuperSelf collagen:
  • contains hydrolyzed type I collagen peptides with excellent bioavailability obtained from selected parts of some fish
  • The tablets are tasteless and have no artificial additives
  • it is a mixture of marine collagen powder, hyaluronic acid and vitamin C.
  • is certified by EFSA (European Food Safety Authority)
  • contains the appropriate daily dose of all three supplements
  • high quality, reliability, convenience of use
  • developed and manufactured in the EU in accordance with procedures
  • free from GMOs, heavy metals, hormones, antibiotics, gluten
  • the percentage of sales falls on the production of vitamins for children under 5 years old in 70 countries (Vitamin Angels)
I bought collagen mainly to get rid of cellulite. But when I was taking monthly supplementation, I noticed that my elbow wounds, which were difficult to heal, also look much better. And of course my wrinkles on my forehead, lips, nose and eyes are less visible. Before, I had no problems with wrinkles, but something began to appear there. Thanks to this collagen, my face looks much better.

I took the following pictures to show the effects to my friend. I even changed the settings on my phone - you know all these smoothing faces etc.: P

In addition to collagen, I use anti-aging serum twice a day, e.g. raspberry oil or pure hyaluronic acid from the Polish company EcoSpa.

Because I use such supplementation and face care, as I showed on my Polish blog - here - my skin face looks younger, healthier, full of radiance, in a word - great.

5. Lief Essentials Marula Oil Africa's Best Kept Secret -Coffee Body Scrub

Everyone has heard about the benefits of coffee peeling, but if there are people here who have not used this simple procedure at home, I will quickly write why it is worth it :-)

Product benefits :
  • effectively exfoliates dead skin
  • smoothes and firms the skin
  • helps in the fight against cellulite
  • stimulates blood circulation
  • improves skin tone
  • smells wonderful and stimulates the senses
  • improves mood
  • it's cheap and you can do it yourself at home
I have been using the Lief Essentials coffee scrub for some time, which I buy in a shop with various items (a bit poundland, but prices vary). The product costs only a pound. Its capacity is 150 g. It has such an envelope packaging with hermetic closure. We don't have to worry that moisture will get inside. Gently peels off, makes a very pleasant massage of the body - especially the hands :) It smells nice coffee, but it cruelly dirty everything: P You have to rinse it well with the body, especially under the arms; P Rich in antioxidants, vitamin C and omega-9. After using it, feel that the skin is moisturized and hydrated - it looks better immediately. Does not contain parabens and alcohol. It is suitable for all skin types according to the manufacturer, but it's always worth reading the ingredients before applying or even buying.

Ingredients :
  • ground arabica coffee beans
  • salt
  • rapeseed oil
  • sugar
  • fragrance
  • safflower oil (moisturizes and nourishes the skin)
  • Marula oil
  • phenoxyethanol (not indicated for pregnant and lactating women, as well as for people with skin diseases)
  • tocopheryl acetate (also known as vitamin E in the form of an ester)
  • coconut oil
  • benzylammonium chloride (affects the silkiness of the cosmetic, does not have a cleaning effect; allowed in cosmetics)
The cosmetics is made in China and, according to the information on the packaging, it has not been tested on animals. Can be used for one year from opening. The packaging is recyclable.

Personally, I am very happy with this peeling. Gives the skin a nicer shade, peels well, leaves the skin silky soft and moisturized. My skin looks healthy and nice. I think the composition is also very good.

4.May & June - photo review

Hi !

I invite you to look at photos from the last two months. I tried to choose only the most interesting ones. I hope it will be interesting :) Let's get started !

May

May was quite a warm month, that's way I often went out for a walk with my little son.

Pictured below is a view of the meadows along the Leeds - Liverpool Canal towards Rishton. You can see more photos from this walk HERE :-)

I live in Blackburn for 8 years and only this year I saw water locks on the canal.
This time it was a walk to the other side, towards Liverpool. My son walked so many kilometers and I was very proud of him. More photos also at this LINK

My little son likes to collect flowers for me. I always have pockets and a handbag full of dried plants, which he gave me.

We were also on a walk around the Fishmoor Reservoir. We spent a very relaxing time there. Only the way back was tiring, because my son had no more strength in his legs and he barely came home. Pictures from this trip can also be seen HERE

I also took him to the meadows to look for various small insects and other worms. We met ladybugs, butterflies, ants, spiders and colorful beetles. We liked it so much that we couldn't find our way back. More pictures HERE

We were also at our friends in Accrington. And there we went to the Peel Park, where we resten on the viewpoint, and later went in search of small ponds.
HERE you will find more photos

In May I also read a lot of books, because this is one of my favorite activities. A delicious unsweetened coffee, a good book, as well a beautiful weather outside, is the perfect combination for a successful afternoon.

I even managed to grow radishes, lettuces, dill, chives and parsley in my mini garden. Only carrots grow above ground instead of underground :P

My daughter was busy learning online and doing homework. She had a lot of it. She spent several hours a day in front of the computer, five days a week. She wanted to go back to school and study normally just like before the lockdown.

We got an invitation to my cousin's wedding, which is to be in November. Maybe we can fly to Poland, but it's still not certain.

I made an order in Polish bookstore. Something for me and my little son. He is a fan of the book series on '' Samochodzik Franek '' ( Frank the car ).

Our son also likes board games, so it's hard in the morning to drink a coffee in peace and read book.

We were with friends, where we had a BBQ. Their children and our children could meet and play together, and the adults gossip, laughing and drinking, but not too much ;)

The kids watch as Alan's dad lights the BBQ using a hair dryer.

In May, our daughter had a 12th birthday.

As soon as the sun shone, we went out for a walk. My son likes hiking, but on the way back he often complains that his legs hurt.
More pictures of course you can see HERE

We also did a small refresh in our home. We painted the walls in the hallway, living room and staircase. We chose banana, latte and lime colors.

Our landlord finally decided to replace the boiler with a new and functional one. I could not leave the house at that time, so I used the sun and sunbathed.

When it was warm outside, I trained in the backyard. After training, I am always positive about life and have a lot of energy to act.

In May, Krzysiek also had a birthday. On this occasion we did a BBQ. I made skewers and various salads, and of course there were sausages and black pudding.

June

June 1 is International Children's Day. It was beautiful weather that day, so we went to the sea to Blackpool. More pictures HERE

On the second day we went for a walk to Witton Country Park and got lost a bit, but thanks to that we discovered some new places. We were at the viewpoint, from which there are beautiful views of the surrounding area. More photos also HERE

Safety first. Seriously, we've given up face masks and disposable gloves. We only use antibacterial gels and keep a distance.

We were also in the woods and the next reservoir. A very relaxing place. Singing of birds, darkness of trees, magic of nature. You can see more photos HERE

It is not good to be short and have large breasts. Then every extra kilo makes my figure look bad. I would have to eat nothing, but I like to eat :P

On the river we can meet the whole family ducks, geese and swans. Awfully heartwarming view.

Reading in the sun is a great solution. You can sunbathe and not get bored during this time.

One time we went to see the park and another reservoir in Rishton - in the town next to Blackburn. Pictures can be viewed HERE

There was also another trip to the sea.
Here

Delicious pink Magnum ice cream. Have you tried them yet ?

Books, walks, sightseeing, some sport and blogging. My favorite leisure time activities.

Cooking is not my favorite occupation, but someone has to do it.

Father's Day in Poland is always June 23.On this day we also celebrate our anniversary. This year we celebrated 17 years together.

And again a walk along the canal.

We were able to go to the sea again and this was the last time so far, because the weather has worsened unfortunately.

An the end ... Cheers !
